enjoy the ride

I hear there is a turning point.  The point at which a parent wonders what happened to the closeness they used to have with their child.  But as for now, I love all of the new stages of our kids.

Well, except for new born.  I know this is not a popular opinion (except for among the honest) but, newborns are the worst.  Throwing up pooping screaming.  Basically, a pet that behaved that way would be…hmmmm… would be….

Since newborn stage, my kids just keep getting better.  Now, they are more perfect than ever.  Not perfect in the actual sense.  Izzy is untidy and Isaac can be very bothered by me.

But, they are so adorable.  I know i know.  What nine and ten year olds are adorable?  Mine.  They are confident and outgoing and independent.  I think that that is the proudest observation that a parent makes.  Observing their child become independent.

Until, of course, they are so independent as to despise your every attempt to parent.  Which may be age ten and twelve for all I know.  I am enjoying the ride though.

zzzz

We just completed a 3 day commercial shoot, which was a lot of fun and a ton of work. When work equals fun and fun equals work, does one ever get any sleep?

Images of this dear family from Springville, Utah.

summer is over?

I know that once labor day passes, it's real. Summer is over. I guess it doesn't feel too much like summer is over this year, since we are in the midwest and it's still 90 degrees plus a swear word amount of humidity here. Plus, our kids don't shuffle off to school every day.

So we are going to pretend like summer is still going strong over here, until the temps drop and I can get myself a nifty pair of boots that I actually don't need because I don't live in snow. But boots are cute, so...

Here's what's been going on in the Provo Orchard.
