We made it through the past 9 months with very little illness. Except for that one time in Europe when there was a bout of illness, and that other time when Isaac and I came down with the flu at the exact same minute, we've had great luck staying well.
The photos below are from a beautiful June evening in Cologne, Germany, the first day of the year that one of our clan wasn't feeling well. Poor Isaac was stuck in the top bunk of the motorhome for 3 days, just being sick and occasionally feebly picking up a lego car and driving it across the bed.
To spice up Belle's life, now that her playmate was down for the count, I took her on a mini shoot. The clouds and colors were amazing right outside our campsite, right down by the Rhine. It was warm and rained a bit, on and off for the few minutes we were out there. It was a mini, "mom and Belle" bonding moment, wherein I told her she doesn't always have to squish her shoulders up to her cheeks for pictures, and she told me that she would model how she pleased, thankyouverymuch.
And now, now that we are home (nearly home anyway) again, I'm awaiting the typical change of season cold and flu to hit. Every sneeze I get, every twinge of sore throat, I panic, "ITS GOT ME! ITS HERE!" But so far, so good.
