Dog adventures

Our dog North is quite the dog. He gets to travel everywhere and rarely goes on the same walk twice. I think he is handling all the changes really well, after all, he knows no better.

North is a Samoyed, which is kind of a rare breed.  For the first seven months of owning him, we never saw one single other samoyed, ever.  This was quite sad to all of us as our dream was to have a little Sammy playdate. (Weird and pathetic, but whatever.)

One day in the San Francisco area we were headed out early to work.  I sat in the front seat and North was halfway on my lap. Out of my window I saw a white car with a giant white fluffball sitting inside. It was another Samoyed! I totally freaked out with happy and showed Tyler and the kids. We were all in full freak out hyper mode. I rolled down the window and North stuck his head out.  (North's tongue is always rolling out the side so it's extra cute.)  That got the attention of the other Samoyed owner, and he smiled and laughed and tried to get his dog's head out the window. Now that I'm writing this, it sounds completely nerdy and embarrassing. Oh well.

We drove side by side for a mile or so before the other driver had to turn. I made North's paw give a little wave and as they turned, we all laughed ourselves silly.  Sigh. We are smitten with this pup.  We are too far gone to rescue, don't even try.
