Someday, when we have a house again and spare beds and rooms, I would like to invite everyone over to stay. I will feed you delicious food, do your laundry, feed your kids yummy snacks, provide you with a super comfy bed, make you laugh til you pee, give you tickets to see exciting things, show you around our city, print you out detailed directions to where you want to go, lend you our car. We'll watch your kids while you go on a date. I will rub your feet and provide you with amazingly fluffy bath towels. We'll vacate our master bedroom, so you can have it.
I'll do anything, because that's the kind of service we've been shown.
From parents who give of themselves continually, to friends who help us out, to strangers-who-become friends, you all are amazing.
I don't know-- our hearts are just full. I always kinda thought I was pretty nice. But... nope. YOU ARE!
Now, until we DO have a house and can exersize true hospitality, don't be surprised if I meet you and randomly do your laundry, hand you fluffy bath towels, or insist you take a brief nap in our car while I watch your kids.
We gotta pay it forward.
