Osaka Kansai

Finally, we get to the Japan posts! I am a tad bit sad that we are not on top of our game enough to post as we go- but alas, this is the best we can do.  A MONTH has passed since we arrived in Japan, time really flies.

Our first night and day in Japan were such a breath of fresh air. We came from the tiniest hotel room in New Zealand (New Zealand: I love, but tiny hotel rooms: i do not)  to a giant nice, cheap room in Japan where they treated us like royalty just for having adorable kids.  We were all so, so happy to be in Japan after looking forward to it for so many months.

Truthfully, I was pretty apprehensive about some aspects of Japan. Not knowing the language, not even knowing the alphabet, not looking a thing like the Japanese, and embarrassingly enough, I didn't even do a whole lot of research on what to do once we arrived.

Luckily none of that mattered. You really, really don't need to speak Japanese to have the time of your life there.  Getting around was no problem.  Asking questions was simple. People pretended to ignore my sloppy mane of unruly red hair. The Japanese culture is impressive and the people are so willing to help, so happy, so generous.

I so wish I could go back.

Mwaaahahahahha!  I totally am!  August 30th-Sept 6.  If interested in a sesh, do email us at info@bluelilyphotography.com.

Photos below are from one of Tyler's morning walks. Remind me to tell you about those sometime.

(I will tell you about them now. He wakes up early. I sleep late. I am rewarded with awesome pictures. The end.)
