We had a lovely time in southern Western Australia. We swam in the Indian Ocean. People, we have swum in the Indian Ocean! (Just so we are clear, that last sentence was really about using swum, not about bragging.)
We enjoyed white sand, clear water, and blue sky. We walked though immense caves. We clambered up rocks moist from the violent crashing of waves. We sat on the porch and felt the warm breeze while listening to Aussies. (Just so we are clear that last sentence was really about sitting on the porch and warm breeze and listening to Aussies.)
We realized that life is to be lived, it is to the fleet and that we should seize the day. (Just so we are clear, that last sentence was really about being trite.)
We enjoyed lazing about, but not more than we enjoyed walking about. Eh, Australia? Walkabout? Am I right?
This is Wendy, taking over the post. We rented, with our amazing Aussie friends, a terrific country house with modern architecture and a big outdoor deck. The kids had an absolute blast kangaroo chasing, bushwhacking (?), etc.
Isabelle and I had a mini shoot with an abandoned campa.
We also were stunned, STUNNED at the amazing stars we could see at night. People, this is a beautiful earth/solar system we live in. I love it. Tyler documented the stars' movements with an 8 minute shutter drag.
