Tokyo nights

Sometimes, late at night when I'm up editing, I look out the hotel window and forget completely where I am.

Today was a day that I missed home. I wondered when it would hit. But it did today.  Today I wanted American food, American friends, American family, American shopping.

So we cheated and used half of our Japan day to eat french fries and ice cream, shopped a little, snuggled a lot. We met up with my cousin Emily and her husband and kid in the middle of a Tokyo airport and hugged and talked and hugged and laughed.

It was a day of changes. We drastically changed plans, we changed hotels, we changed our "go see it all today" attitude, and we just caught up with ourselves, I think.

It was a good day.
