Basically, for Tyler and I, Thanksgiving means two things: Pie, and family.
We take our pie very seriously. And also, I should add the sweet potatoes.
I was raised to be a pie lover, and Tyler has adapted to the pie lifestyle. Tonight when I caught him with two plates (TEN slices) of pie in front of him, I laughed and swooned at the same time. Super hot, a man with a bunch of pie.
Today was a pretty perfect Thanksgiving- and while we missed family in California, I know we'll be seeing them very very shortly. My smile was stretched so wide for so long at dinner tonight and I couldn't help but see the blessings of life staring at me in the face. Our dinner conversation was hilarious, at times both mocking and or completely gross, and wow, our voices are so loud- it was delicious in combination with the sweet potatoes, stuffing and green bean casserole. Zamn. Food is good.
And the PIE OH MY GOSH THE PIE. There were 11 pies, and 16 people, 8 of which were little kids who didn't care about pie, so if you subtract them, that's more than 1 pie per person; a pretty powerful piefest.
Again, Happy Thanksgiving. What a completely rad holiday.
Cell phone photo. It's all I've got but OOOH LOOKIE, PIE!
