On my second trip to Japan this year, I had a completely different experience than my first time, which was with my family. This time I went to finish up business lost due to the earthquake, and I went with my cousin Sandi.
I have many truly lovely cousins, but Sandi is the cousin who will always travel anywhere with anyone. At any time. I do love her immensely. It was a treat to invite her along with me, since she is a lover of all things Asian, and I knew that she would appreciate Japan as much as we had.
The trip was glorious, and I will blog photos from it for sure. For now, I will share a set of photos perfect for Halloween.
Cousin Sandi likes to take photographs as well. She excels at landscapes. So everywhere we went, she took about 1,000 photos of everything.
I think it made her nervous that she'd take pictures forever while I stood by just watching. It was fun to make her squirm.
One rainy day (did I mention that this time we chose to go to Japan during a typhoon), we went to an outdoor art museum in Kyoto. The internets said that it was a better place to take photos of the architecture than to actually look at the art. Sandi freaking loved this place. I did too.
Because I started having fun by posing myself in her scenes like a dead body.
Then I made her act dead and creepy too. Any good cousin would.
Happy Halloween to our dear friends!
