On Wednesday of last week, we arrived in New York City, which is always exciting. We get to live the big city life for a week, twice a year. We get to hang out with some of our dearest friends. A whole new world of yummy restaurants is at our fingertips.
And the shopping! Oh, if only I were shopping at this point in my life. I could do serious damage. (did you just hear Tyler's huge sigh of relief?)
NYC is full of stuff to do. However this time, we haven't done too much of it. I think it boils down to:
This is the first time in a long, long time, that we have unpacked our suitcases for more than 3 days at a time. We checked into our apartment here last week and within 45 seconds I had unpacked everything and put it all in a specific drawer or place. It felt pretty awesome. We will have remained here for 7 nights without moving.
Wonderful. Anyway, we've been chilling together on the couch a lot. Looking at all the unpacked stuff. Total waste of NYC but it feels good. Besides, we venture out each afternoon to work, dine, and wander for a while. Totally normal, right?
The other day Tyler and I were wondering. How many times have we packed up our suitcases? Probably over 90 times, this year.
Random images from a London museum. I believe this was the British Museum? And if I'm not mistaken, there was a spectacular exhibit about mumification that was awesome, gruesome, and eye opening for the whole family. Pretty sure Isaac and Izzy can now freak you out with their mumification knowledge.
I'm so proud?
