Both of our kids love the game where Wendy and I swing them into the air on the count of three.
As they have gotten a bit older, we have gotten a bit more aggressive with our swinging.
Sidenote- There were a lot of mosquitos at
. There was also bright sun. I applied sunscreen and mosquito to combat both.
Wendy, Isaac and I then decided to play the game.
We swung Isaac full force. and. he. slipped. out. of. my. hand.
I was terrified. I saw him crashing into the ground in my head.
Luckily, Wendy's non-mosquito repellant sunscreen grip held, and he was saved. (I feel a need to specify it was only because I had slippery hands that my grip failed me. I mean, have you seen how big of rocks my grip can hold?)
But, Isaac was (rightfully) MAD.
He stood absolutely still for a minute. He had a hunched back, tightly drawn lips and balled up fists and just glared at me.
I apologized profusely.
After the minute, he stated in a commanding voice, "When I am a dad, I will NOT do that to my son."
Then, for good measure, he added, "Heavenly Father would NOT do that to Jesus."
note: we are obsessed with our wide angle, Nikon 14-24 lens. which is why you see lots of distorted heads and bodies sometimes in our pictures. We are also obsessed with distorted heads and bodies.
