I am deathly afraid of horses.
I'm sure there was some traumatic event in my childhood regarding horses that made me this way. Buuuutttt I can't remember it.
I'm not proud of it.... but horses are my enemy.
So imagine my thoughts when Jamie called requesting part of her senior shoot to be on the horse ranch... with horses... staring at me with their hugely beady eyes...
I was torn. The shoot was something new, fresh, somewhat exciting-
But is being trampled to death by a horse the kind of exciting I'm really looking for?
In the end- my visions of awesome sunflare pouring from around the horsey's body won out, and Tyler and I set off for Jamie's shoot.
My mistake? Confessing to Tyler that I was scared. Apparently we'd never before discussed this fear of mine.
We walked into the stable, where the baby horses reside. I'd never seen a baby horsey and was very interested. I was pretty sure a baby horsey could still bite me to death and/or kick my brains out. But still... babies are cute!
So I peeked over the corral's edge, when all of the sudden, Tyler thought it would be really funny to play ventriloquist:
"Heeeyyyyyyy Wennnndy, I'm going to Kiiiiiiiillllllllllll youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!"
Said in perfect psychotic horsey voice.
Honestly I about dropped my camera and hightailed it to the safe confines of the Prius.
401 evil-horse jokes from Tyler later, we wrapped up the shoot, with nary a scratch on my frightened little (big?) body. I had done it!
And I think it was very worth it.
We also payed a visit to the junkyard. YAY!
A little more than 24 hours before we leave for NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
