As I sit here at my computer, tucked comfortably into a sleeping bag (because we refuse to turn the heater on), I fluctuate between nearly falling asleep and nearly jumping out of my seat with excitement.
The reason? We are sooooo close to being done with all this time-sensitive photo stuff that's related to the holidays. SO CLOSE.
I can taste it.
I dream about being done on a daily basis.
More like an every 10 second basis.
When we are officially done, I will:
Run out into the street in my pajamas, screaming hallelujah at the top of my lungs, probably wearing underwear on my head and waving children's dirty clothing and take-out food boxes that I picked up off the filthy floor on the way out-
Tyler will likely stare at me, a bit frightened, a bit confused at the fuss; the children will run and hide behind the sorry excuse for a tree in our yard...
All will be well. Back to normal. Time for vacation.
Speaking of: Tyler and I will NOT be working from Dec. 16th- Jan. 2nd with the exception of our Sacramento travel sessions after Christmas. Emails will be answered if there is an urgent matter and voicemail will be spotty since we'll be vacationing in random places with shoddy reception. I hope everyone has a great Holiday Season; we'll be relaxing our tushies off and I hope you will be too.
I am so excited for our end of the year round up of favorite pix. There's a lot to be done before that gets posted, and other highlights to hit the blog in the next 1.5 weeks until we take a much needed vacation are:
-our family christmas portraits
-more sessions from travel sessions
- our Christmas decorations, Whoville style
-other stuff (just hit a wave of sleepiness, must go...)
I'll leave you with these images from our farm shoots in Maryland in October. Sure, we may have been rained out completely the first time, but these pictures prove that the 2nd time is a charm. What a fun, energetic family. They let me photograph 9 other families on their farm that day... it was amazing.
plenty of funny faces from the gal on the right. She kept me hopping!
