Heyyyy, thanks guys! I'm glad you aren't bored by the intricate details of my life. You all gave me the warm fuzzies. Or maybe I just peed on my chair- not sure.
It's no secret that I practically take up a second residence at the junkyard. This really kind couple owns the place and they kinda roll their eyes when they see me coming. But behind the piles and piles of.... junk, there is beauty all around. Actually to be honest, I think the actual piles of salvage are pretty. Often times when I'm at the junkyard with a client, I'll snap a few pics of the junk while they change clothing- I just can't resist.
The last few months have been so busy I haven't even looked at the pictures I've taken until today (and I really shouldn't have even looked today) and I'm so glad I did. Now if I could just see the piles of junk around my house as beautiful. That would really make me feel better!
I'm going to to a junk wall here at my house and I'll post the results when that gets done (2011?). I'm thinking 15x15 frames or somethin' since I think they'll look better square. Yes? I'll also offer these digital files up for purchase so you can do the same at your home if you are a junk lover. $15 for the lot of files (paypal the $20 to wendy at bluelilyphotography dot com) that you can crop and fix and print to your little hearts content. I'm not really sure anybody wants these, but I got tons and tons of requests for the star wars guy pics which I can offer up too.
Oh and hey- I got the vinyl tree art a few posts down from an etsy shop called Dali Decals. I'm much, MUCH too lazy to link to it right now. I'm busy watching supernanny and MAN do I feel good about my own parenting right now!
But don't leave yet- this is a really long post, I know. Now I want to show you some true beauty from the junkyard:
Stay tuned... I feel another giveaway coming up quite soon!
