Tis the season to be jolly! I need to announce the winner of the giveaway for a free session. First let me say- that there's no way I could pick just one. I didn't know what I was asking for- so many touching stories, I wanted to pick everybody and felt it was impossible because...
I wanted to pick those struggling with infertility- I definitely have been there before.
I wanted to pick those struggling with death and loss- I've felt that loss before.
I wanted to pick the heroes among us.
I wanted to pick those mothers out there, serving their families selflessly day after day.
And I will. I am going to use this list for months to come. I'll try to do a free session per month. I'm starting out with a woman who's name was submitted by a friend who says that due to what appears to be a serious cancer, their family could really use this free session at this time- a very delicate time for this family. Without going into too many details, I feel that this free session will serve as the perfect way to freeze frame their life as it is right now, right as they'd love to remember it.
As I do sessions, I'll post the images if I'm given permission. Hopefully we can all share in this holiday's spirit of love, giving, and the importance of family.
Speaking of family.... Here are my family portraits for this year! Thanks be to my wondrous sister in law Eve, who stood right where I wanted her to stand, pointed the camera right where instructed, and put up with not being able to wax artistic on her own at all. She did a great job, don't you think?
I absolutely adore this one:
Now, to anyone who comments saying how freaking adorable we all are ( I need some good self esteem lovin'), you will be entered into my next givaway prize which is:
FIFTY BUCKS TO ANTHROPOLOGIE!!!!! What? You are sick of Anthro prizes? Well I don't know what to tell you.
Now go on, tell us ("say it... out loud.. say it") how awesome and cute we are before Saturday morning at 8 am PST. TELL US! (winner will be chosen randomly this time!)
Oh, and PS. To all those who commented, emailed, and phoned (Yes, PHONED!) About Larry Rutherford... don't panic. Larry shall be rewarded in due time. :)
(are you proud? I didn't even photoshop outany of my freckles! I've come so far.)
